Today I made my way into the city with the mission to find some things, among em’ a pair of cowboy boots. I walked and walked and walked, which was fine cause the weather was awesome! It was sunny and warm and there was people everywhere! Swedes flock to sunshine like a moth to a flame…As soon as the sun come out , every swedish person goes outside. Needless to say , in a country that’s 80% winter we’re not spoiled with sunshine.
After walking around I remembered the amazing shrimp sandwich I had the last time I was in the city, but I went to a different coffee place this time. The sandwich was almost just as amazing! It has shrimp ( which I could live on, love shrimp), eggs and mayonaisse(which I usually don’t like, but on this sandwich it’s awesome).
After my sandwich euphoria I got back outside into the sunshine on my mission to find a new belt and a pair of cowboy boots. Guess what?? Didn’t find any this time either!! If I lived in Texas this would have been much easier….. appearantly not many cowboys in Stockholm…:( But the quest continues!
So that’s Linnéas adventure for the day…. despite the shortage of boots it was a very nice day :)
That’s it! I’m gonna get a chameleon!!! they’re so cool, and esspecially their little hands :)
Since I haven’t written anything in a while I thought I would tell u something monumental that I did yesterday.
For a while now I’ve been looking around like a maniac for a pair of black cowboy boots, and I found a western store online, that also turned out to have an actual store in the city ….. the bad news… it’s in a place I hate going into.
Here in Stockholm there’s a part of the city called “old town” , it’s the original part of stockholm and dates back til’ the twelvehundrets. It’s the biggest tourist place in town. The buildings are old, the streets are old there are still lots of old artifacts and doors and such there. Kinda like a walking history museum. It’s a beautiful place but It creeps me out like crazy. But yesterday I thought “ok , I’m gonna make it to this stupid western store” in the hopes of finding some boots (which I didn’t by the way ). First of all, it was raining , so the place was dark and murky… which didn’t help. So , I started walking down the streets that are lined with narrow, dark alley ways. The entire place has a medieval feel and look to it. I had a big knot in my stomach and at one point I thought “how the hell can people like to walk around here”? It felt like the buildings were closing in on me and was gonna swallow me whole. At one point I saw an old stroller outside a small shop , that looked like it was from the mid nineteen hundrets and I flinched. After walking past a VERY creepy statue and finally making it to that store and had no luck finding any boots. So now I had to walk the entire way back. I went back outside into the rain and started walking back and I felt like I was going to cry, I felt so creeped out and scared. When I made it to one of the main squares , I saw a small coffee place that looked very cosy and I was cold and wet so I went in and sat down for a while and boy did I not fit in there… style wise… It was old royal paintings on the walls and everything was gold and white… and there I came with a studded belt and bandana, but it was kinda fun to break the atmosphere. After the short break I made my way back to the subway and finally I could breathe again, can’t believe I actually made it though the place and on top of that I stopped for coffee in that part of the city. While I was walking back to the subway I passed a couple of restaurants and bars that looked very nice and cosy, but there was one that was down in an old cellar from hundrets of years ago, the sign said ” come eat in an historic enviorment” …. I thought….. I wouldn’t even go down there if I was starving!
I’m very proud of myself I made it but that place still creeps the hell out of me….

I’ve never been a person that looks forward to easter weekend , so today I’ve eaten ravioli for dinner and spent the rest of the day playing guitar :)
Just ordered some white leather gloves with studs on em’ too!! :)
